Gordon Barbara was born in Naxxar, Malta, in 1983. Gordon was a natural born entertainer from the young age of 3. Gordon started his career as an ETA in December 2006.

He grew up listening to the sound of Elvis Presley and came to the conclusion that he found Elvis Presley to be the most versatile singer he had ever heard. His parents are both Elvis fans and they encouraged him to be the new Elvis.

When he started his career Gordon committed himself to keeping the memory of Elvis alive among his fans. People often say that Gordon has that natural “charisma” that Elvis was renowned for. He puts on an excellent show and knows how to excite a crowd. His resemblance to the King is amazing. He is dedicated to his career and owns several jumpsuits.

Gordon has also appeared on Maltese television and now performs 6 to 7 nights a week in

Malta

1. "What are your first memories of Elvis?"

When i was only 3 years old I used to watch Elvis movies with my parents and listen to Elvis records.

2. "When and how did you discover you could sing?"

At the age of 8 I used to go with my father to a karaoke pub and i always used to sing Elvis songs, lot of people told me that I sing really good.

3. "Do you have any other talented members in your family who are either singers or musicians etc?"

No I don't have.

4. "Apart from Elvis can you impersonate anyone else and do you admire any other artist/s?"

Yes I think I can impersonate Shakin stevens but he is my second best. Elvis is more famous and has a variety of songs. There are a lot of artists that I admire like Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Demis russos but Elvis is the number 1.

5. "Apart from Elvis What Other Types Of Music Do You Like?"

I like all types of music even modern music.

6"Why Did You Leave It So Long Before You Became An ETA?"

I left it so long because I used to play football. I played for nine years with a Maltese team. Then I had to stop because of an injury. My friends knew that I like Elvis. Sometimes before the game I usually sang an Elvis song for them.

7. "What Was The Turning Point In Your Life That Made You Decide You Wanted To Be An ETA?

The guy from the karaoke encouraged me to start as an Eta and it was a good idea.

8. "Since Being An ETA What Are Your Experiences And Have You Performed Abroad"

I have been doing this for only 1 year and I am really enjoying this new experience. I am sure that there is more to come in the future for me. Yes I performed abroad in Cyprus and a competition in Wales.

For me this concludes that Elvis will be forever and his songs will never die.

I really would like to perform with a big band.

Elvis for me is something special. I've been listing to his songs from a young age. I admire him so much for his kidness amongst many people and he was not only a great singer but a great loving man.
